Overview

The endocrine system is a network of glands controlling the production and secretion of essential hormones. ​What to Avoid

Endocrine disruptors such as dairy, pesticides and other toxins used for food production, heavy metals and plastics; particularly in the form of drinking containers (if plastics are BPA free, they are acceptable, but glass, ceramic or wood is always preferable).

High protein diets in general, and animal based (complete protein) diets in particular, may cause exogenous, abnormal, hormonal interference and harmful stimulation; such diets are therefore to be avoided.

Coffee and other high caffeine containing beverages; stimulate the central nervous system, and may, whence used regularly, tax and excite the body unsustainably; by forcing our system to over-expend resources; which would, ordinarily; without necessity, remain unavailable. Adrenalin, for instance, is secreted in times of crisis; in order to cope or overcome extraordinarily challenging circumstances, but if we continuously tab and drain our emergency resources; understandably, we may very well ​experience ​exhaustion, dis-order and dis-ease.


Irregular sleep patterns disrupt the internal circadian rhythm; orchestrated by the endocrine glands; the functionality of the pineal gland, which regulates the production of melatonin, may be comprised thereby.
